Founding Attorney

Shane grew up in the small West Texas town of Sanderson. Shane received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 from the University of Texas at Austin, and received his law degree and Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 2012.

After finishing law school, Shane began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Ector County in 2012. During this time as a state prosecutor, Shane handled all types of criminal cases and gained a tremendous amount of trial experience while navigating an incredibly diverse case load. In 2013, Shane was named the Sexual Assault prosecutor for the District Attorney’s office and spent the next two years prosecuting sexual offenses and crimes against children.

In 2015, Shane’s legal career took him to Del Rio, Texas where he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. During this time on the border, Shane prosecuted immigration, drug trafficking, firearm, child exploitation, white collar, and violent crime cases while continuing to grow his trial and courtroom experience in Federal Court. In 2018, Shane, his wife, and their twin boys returned to the Permian Basin, where Shane continued his work as a Federal Prosecutor for the Midland-Odessa Division of the Western District of Texas from 2018 to 2022.

This year, Shane founded Chriesman Law, PLLC. Shane is particularly suited to represent the residents of the Permian Basin who require competent, skilled, and aggressive criminal defense.
